| 2 Month Yorkie Peeing in Sleep...is she ok? My husband and I recently bought a Yorkie from a breeder and she is 2 months old and 2 days. We had to bring her to an Urgent Care center the night and found out that she was infested with tapeworms and she was given medicine. The next morning after her medicine she passed a tapeworm the size of her bowel movement. We then brought her to the Vet the next morning and she also has a skin infection from fleas and was covered in them. We now have to give her antibiotics twice a day. We have noticed that she is also peeing on herself in her sleep and only on herself, but only during the day and randomly. Should I call my Vet and get her seen again or is this common in Yorkie puppies? Shes already on a ton of medicine and I'd hate to put her on more. Please let me know if peeing in her sleep randomly on herself is normal. |

| I don't think this is normal. Unless the medicine has her sedated and she has to go and it's just coming out in her sleep. I would go back to the vet. Hope all is OK. Good luck! |

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | Wow!! Poor thing. You said the pup is only 2mths old...it is recommended that the pup stays with momma until at least 12wks of age. Did you contact the breeder with all the problems this little one is having..I would. I dont think peeing on itself is normal, that being said she is too young to have any bladder control. Do you have pee pads down for her? Personally I would get her back to the vet if for nothing more than ruling out a UTI. Hope she feels better soon. Welcome to YT!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | This puppy belong back with the breeder, she needs to learn from her mama to use pee pads , I have an orphan 8 week old silky baby that I am raising, I am an experience breeder and is very hard to deal with such a tiny puppy she still has no idea when she needs to pee, you need to take her and put it in a scented pee pad at least every hour, and at least every 3 hours during the night, she still a BABY, that is what mama's do for them, I have a surrogate doggy mama that is helping me with the orphan and let me tell you even with her help is hard. she should be dewormed at 8 weeks then again at 12 weeks. Fleas can cause her to have anemia, she needs to eat at least 5 times a day. OMG, if posible I would take this puppy back to the breeder... hugs, |

| I hope your little one gets better, poor baby!!! So much for her little body to fight It's entirely possible that she has a UTI. At least get on the phone to the vet and explain to them what's going on. It would be good to ask if the antibiotic she's on now would also take care of any UTI, or if she'd need something different. They'll probably want you to come on in with her, since she's so young, but a phone call could help ease your mind, at least. Oh, and welcome to YT!
