| Teddy Update This morning the Dr called saying Teddy was alert but hadn't eaten. She said he was nervous and in pain from his eye so they gave him a pain injection of Bupranex. They discovered if they brush teddy and fix his hair, he isn't nervous. So needless to say when I picked him up, he looked like he came from the groomer's. Well, except for the shaved leg and neck from his CT scan and needle aspiration procedures. Where do we stand? Well, Teddy ate for me - he had tuna and sweet potatoes and gobbled it right up. He is sleeping and feels miserable. The plan is to bring him back on Monday morning where he will undergo general anesthesia for dental radiographs. If they find a piece of tooth root, piece of tooth or other problem in the tooth itself, they will open that area to remove it. If they find nothing in the area, then they will create an opening in the location of the fluid pockets behind his eye so it can drain out. He is on two broad specturm antibiotics -- Baytril and Clindamycin -- which they think will cover whatever infectious process is going on. He is also on Metacam and some eye drops to prevent an ulceration of the eye. It still looks terrible but it hasn't gotten worse so at least that is good news. I attached a pic of when we picked him up. At this time a cancerous process (neoplasm) cannot be ruled out but prelinary findings from pathology did not show any cancer cells. They said that this is not a classic textbook case and is complicated and it was the right decision to have him at the veterinary school. I'm so worried about my Bumpkin but he is getting excellent care and kindness and I think the plan so far is a good one. I hope the rest of the weekend will be uneventful. teddyeye.jpg

| Aww, Teddy, how is it that you and your brother Barney manage to look good even when you aren't feeling your best and you battling these health problems? I am praying for you that your team of doctors will be able to resolve this for you on Monday so that you can get busy healing and not have anymore worries. Praying that all of your lab results return good news. Sending gentle hugs to you little guy.
