I don't know what "a puppy is a puppy" actually means, bc it doesn't resonate with me. I value the lives of animals in such a way that I'm sure other people think I'm weird - but that's who I am, and that's what I feel in my heart is their value.

Yorkie puppies w/ diarrhea can die within the same day - we've seen it here a hundred times. Maybe it helps to know that history when trying to understand how passionate everyone became about your pup. But, it really is true that puppies are extremely fragile - I mean, the pup you have has only been in existence for what...6 or 8 weeks? Correlate that age to how fragile a human baby is the first 6mths of life.

I got my Marcel when he was 4mths old - he was very small. About 2wks later, he contracted giardia and could've died. I got him to the vet after 1 day - and he had to be on IV fluids etc bc his body couldn't adequately deal with the illness w/ the age of his immune system. Had I posted on here for a couple days instead of bringing him to the vet, he wouldn't be here curled up in my lap right now. That's why people get upset here, bc that's what we've seen many times over.

The bottom line is - you got your baby to the Vet, and she will be okay now. Personally, I would've gotten her there sooner, but you were lucky. All I can say is - I'm super grateful that she is okay and that she is still with you. Keep her close, and err on the side of caution...and it should be okay. You won't regret being overly cautious, but you could definitely regret not being cautious enough, ya know?

I have already tried contacting admin to remove the cab service post, to unsubscribe me, and to eliminate all of my personal information to no avail.

And I'm sorry, I strongly disagree in regards to pets being even remotely comparable to our human family members. I have lost pets in the past and I grieved. It hurt for a while but the pain diminished and faded. I lost my mom to cancer in August. I don't ever foresee overcoming that. The pain has not subsided and I would hate to have someone compare that grief of a loved parent, sibling, child, etc to the loss of a pet. I feel sad for those of you who would value the lives of your pets more than or equivalent to your flesh and blood. I'm sure you have your reasons. But morally and biblically your priorities are seriously reversed.

I've already hit the triangle on that post twice. I certainly wouldn't mind it if other people helped me to flag it until it gets removed.

As far as unsubscribing, I want to unsubscribe from this forum altogether, not just this discussion. I don't feel comfortable staying on a forum where I have to concern myself about threats on my family because my puppy had gastroenteritis.

The only thing that the Bible says about caring for animals is that we are responsible for them. There is no place that states that they are less than us. Morally if we are responsible for their well being and take them on as a member of our family then we are to care for their needs as we would anyone in need. A life is a life.

I am sorry that there were some whos offended you,they members here are very passionate about pups and their care. If you do decide to stay around you will find that many members are trainers,breeder for many years as well as showing in the ring,vet techs that know what they are talking about and people that run rescues and foster yorkies. There is alot of good advice to be had here.

I can not in my wildest dreams imagine anyone from this forum threatening anyone. There are many trolls out there that just hang out on forums and use the information to harm others. I hope that you and your family will feel safe and am very sorry that there is someone out there that would state that they wanted to harm you.

I sorry someone threatened you thats totally unacceptale. I really believe in all my heart and knowledge of people on here that it wasnt someone who posts on this forum but someone that reads this forum and thats alot of people. There is no one on this forum that gets so caught up in a post someone makes to make a threat about it. We see posts like your Id say every other day so we are used to these type of posts
