| Thank you all for your comments and support, I've been pretty discombobulated the last few days, I guess I'm pretty maternal still..!!! I really love my Miss Mia and Miss Mini and they will always be fine with us! I feel so violated in some ways, I feel as though she was cheated...hubby says atleast she don't have to listen to your snoring!! OMG...ok, I am off to the home where I got Miss Mia...wish me luck...

| Miss Mia will do just fine. I have a little maltese that was born blind and she doesn't know any difference. She can manuver anywhere she wants to go and never runs into anything. When one of their senses is gone or not so good the other senses make up for it. My little Mckenzie is just a joy and we don't care about her blindness. |

| Thank you everyone for your support, it really means alot to me. Miss Mia will be fine, I broke the news to her last night that she was deaf as I cried into her neck feeling sorry for myself! She enjoyed the taste of the tears and went about her business! I went to see Mias "breeder"...like a thief in the daylight I walked the grounds, there is no breeding going on here. Turns out Mia's mother is deaf too; infact, had I thought about it I would have remembered they trained her with hand signals and showed their abilities to me while I was there in January BIG FREAKING DUH..... Went back to the vet today and the bottom line is shes deaf and we will probably never know why for certain; however, safe to say her mother should not have been bred...DUH...anyway, they did show me that they had her spayed, did not see the father but assured me they will NEVER have puppies again. I'm not sure why they had puppies but I'm pretty sure it happened because they were careless. At the end of the day, they are really nice people who made a mistake and theres nothing I can do to change what happened. i did let scold them and I know they couldn't wait for me to leave. I did get my point across and I will keep my eyes on them. Truthfully breeding is not something they need to do, they are quite wealthy, extremely wealthy. I will end this thread and just say please go post on someones thread who has a genuinely sick dog, Miss Mia is not sick shes just deaf! ((((((hugs to all YT))))))))

| Well at least they did get the mom spay. That is more than we can say for a lot of breeders out there. Just remember one thing, yes Miss Mia is deaf but she is still totally adorable!! Nothing will ever change that!!!!

| I'm so sorry about your little girl. I read a wonderful, true story about a deaf great dane called Amazing Gracie. If you have the time, it's so heartwarming. It is written by the people who started Three Dog Bakery. With your love, I am confident that Miss Mia will lead a charmed life.
