| I don't have any answers yet, but I keep trying to research what exactly is wrong with Elle, besides the pancreatitis. Here is what the Teaching Animal Vet said what the ultrasound showed: An ultrasound was performed on Elle. Her left and right kidneys are dilated at the renal pelvis (where the urine exits the kidney). The renal pelvis of the right kidney is midly irregular and mineralization is present. The pancreas is focally inflamed and is compressing one of the bile ducts causing gall bladder to become distended. This is likely the cause of Elle's increased bilirubin and may be contributing to her increased liver enzymes. ASSESSMENT:: Based on Elle's clinical signs and diagnostic findings, she is likely suffering from pancreatitis. Other possibilities discussed were a mass that could be compressing the bile ducts or causing a mucous plug that is causing bile to backup into the gall bladder. I'm still so lost on why she has mineralization in her liver and kidneys. An xray showed it in her liver.. I'm having such a hard time with this, as I'm sure you can tell. I miss Elle sooooo much, and I can't lose her. I'm so emotional now, I have no idea how I would handle it if I get bad results tommorrow. I'm so scared! I just have this terrible feeling in my gut that the labs are going to come back unchanged or even worse. And i'm petrified to even look at the repeat xray. I keep posting on here, cause you all care so much about your babies, as I do mine.Elle, has my heart, and I would never be able to replace her. Sure, I care about my other yorkies, but Elle and I have that bond that cant be forgotten. I love her so darn much! I can't lose her, and I'm scared I'm going to.

Thanks for inquiring about her. I havent heard from the vet today yet. She might call me tonite like she did last night. I just know I'm getting more and more nervous about finding out if the IV fluids and medicine that she is taking to thin the bile, has worked, tommorrow. I have to go to work tomm, since I have already missed so much already, but as soon as I get off at 3:00 (central time) I'm heading to the vets. I will definately post an update as soon as I get the news. I might be emotional, but I think this site, is more understanding of that than anyone. Thanks again for caring!

| When reading these things, it is best to focus on the assessment rather than the rest of it. Many times the things that they see and write about are really not a problem. Let the vet explain it to you...don't try to interpret it as it will make you crazy with worry. Those things often sound a lot worse than what they are.

My home vet questioned the Teaching Animal Hosp Vet about the mineralization, and she couldn't explain why she had it. My home vet said they are very concerned about it as they have never seen a dog with so many, and I'm glad they are being honest with me, even though it hurts to hear.

| Understand about work, that's ok, you can check on her tomorrow afternoon. She is in good hands with the Vet. Sending prayers, and hugs your way. Will check back again tomorrow with you to see if there is any news. And don't worry about being emotional. Most of us have been emotional on here one time or another. That is why we are here. It's called support. Love, Darlene

| We are here praying for Elle along with you. I know how hard it is to not have answers when you need to know, but yet you don't want to hear something negative. We are praying for a positive outcome for Elle.

| Did some research online about all the mineralization in her liver and kidneys. They mineralization in her kidneys can be associated with a mass. But definately sounds like she has liver and kidney failure. I could be wrong, but Im definately going to discuss this with my vet, as they mentioned this in the very beginning.
