Yay! Hope he continues to be 'on the mend'!

I'm excited. He's pretty much sleeping in this morning but he doesn't seem to be feeling bad. He's not got ears out to the side, tail down or standing holding his little head kind of down like he does when he's feeling bad. He hasn't asked for breakfast yet but he's been watching birds out of the windows some. He's not trying to get through the windows to the birds so I know he's not fully up to par. I'm hopeful that we're on the right track. Who knows, maybe the Hill's is too rich or something for his tummy. If he keeps this up after a month on it, maybe I can ask the vet if there is something easier to digest for him. I'm hoping he has a good weekend as yesterday he was his old self & we had so much fun. Tibbe does know how to live when he's well! :)

Oh, thank you. If Tibbe has a good weekend, I will. I'm hopeful he's on the mend tummy wise & about to resume his regular life soon as the final ulcers or tender areas or whatever is in there heals. It can't be old-age as he's only going to be 5 years on 8-30-2012. Surely if there were something terrible going on with him, he'd be getting worse instead of gradually in fits & starts getting better. That thought has really calmed me this week.

I still wonder if the med caused him to get worse by causing an ulcer. I'm just really happy to hear he's doing good.:)

Me, too. Seems entirely plausible, doesn't it.

A little update: Tibbe seems to be back to himself & has all week. He hasn't had a bad day or stood as if he's uncomfortable, no gassy sounds coming from his tummy and no spitting up or diarrhea. He does still have a coating of clear mucus on his stool especially mornings and I will mention it to the vet again at our checkup this week. But he is back to being happy & running around, ruling the world. Eating nothing but Hill's GI I/D Kibble, soaked & heated some in the microwave & I've baked him some "treats" from the same kibble. He LOVES it. He even eats the occasional dry kibble that I keep down 24/7 in his bowl. I sure hope we've seen the end of whatever had hold of him & he can stay like this. It is so good to have the old Tibbe back, not suffering or sick. Thanks again all of you for your ideas & tips & help & prayers. ♥

It sounds like Tibbe is doing just great! I know the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders. It's so nice that he is running around and being Tibbe again.:)

Oh, thank you. I was just watching him dash out the back door on "Squirrel Patrol" today, his little feet just flying as he headed toward the back of the yard where the trees and squirrels are and thanking God & his vets & Hill's in my thoughts for giving me my dog back. All ya'll gave me such good words of advice & support to hang in there it would get better and he & it finally did. He had a normal stool this morning with nothing bad anywhere on or in it & he's eating like a little piggy. He's back to running the world, eavesdropping on my phone conversations & interjecting little yips & twirls if he gets the feeling someone may be coming over, playing rough, pestering me to play with him or get him a toy out of the drawer or train him and generally just bouncing the house down. It's the best thing in the world to see them get well again. This was Tibbe's first bad illness since I've had him(his bout of pneumonia in February was nothing compared to this stuff) and this really shook me. I can't even imagine life without him. Makes me smile as I look at him sleeping beside me on the couch now - he's sleeping hard after a big day today. I don't think he even took a nap - played & jetted around all day. He's definitely "back"! ♥♥♥

That's the best news yet! I'm smiling now!:)
