YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Kenna looking for an update. When you post in the Sick and Emergency it is asked that the poster do at least one update. Usually after vet visit has happened. For you see we do worry first about the pups, then the owners; and many members here make a volunteer effort to be available on this forum to help out as needed. And just to be very clear, if you do re-read my post; I mentioned the "vet" no less than three times in my post. In detailing an orderly examination protocol, I never imagined you thought that your hands were skilled enough to palpate anything with certainty. Of course mayhap you are an orthopaedic vet; but then why would you be posting here? In point of fact; I told you several of those joints need Xrays for an evaluative joint assessment. Certain ROM testing, can point one way or another, but Xrays for boney anomalies, and MRI's/CT's, ultrasound for other things. Anyhow I hope your dog is well, how-ever in my opinion there is a problem as you well know as you know he has Luxating Patellas. So this is a chronic condition that usually worsens with time, unless the owner does all nutritive, exercise, and protective measures to help that knee maintain good alignment. And even sometimes, despite the best of the best remedial life style, LP worsens.

| This irks me. Andy has ,luxitating patella and he's under vet care for it. I go the minute he seems in discomfort and we go from there. Just like I do with my Skin kids. I understand people post as they want quick answers or just to say what is happening and this and that ,but you must understand FIRST and formost is the VETS we are not magic posters that can heal and its frustrating to see and furbaby suffer un needed. So have said that Please take your fur baby to the vet. If you cvan't afford to have help for your babe then surrender him/her to give them a chance at a healthy comfortable LIFE
