♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | To the vet we went Just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen? Riley and my daughters Cairn got into it about noon. I was just walking in from the gym and it was over a bone. Needless to say they have these all the time and they are together everyday. Thank goodness my dh was home and it happened right in front of him so he could reach them. ( as he is laid up and can not move very fast). Needless to say I always lock the cairns and yorkies separate if we both leave. Not that anything had ever happened I just felt better that way. Anyways no puncture wounds. But Riley is having right side issues. He can walk but not right. My vet gave him a steroid shot and steroids pills for the next five days and after that every other day for a few more days. He said if the pills don't work we would do another shot or more. He is in no pain as he is not crying or anything. He said it would be like us tumbling and taking a bad hit. Like pinched nerves. Any way I am worried and wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else's pup. Thanks

| Just want to say that my skinchild had a back problem (sacroliiac joint) and he got a steroid shot. It worked great at first because it had painkiller in it, but then it hurt again after the painkiller wore off. The pain was from the shot itself I think, he put it in and moved it around-so I think it was like bruising. The back pain did go away because of the shot though. My point was that it might hurt a few days before it gets better. Be careful with the pills. Steroids do have to be weaned down and not stopped suddenly. I'm sure it's the same skin or fur.... HOpefully it solves your baby's problem. |

| My Mom's and my brother's Cairn go at it like that sometimes, not even over anything necessarily. However, the Cairn's never have gone after Gizmo. Hopefully everything is okay, and something was just pulled or strained. Gotta love those tenacious terriers.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | Well he is still not walking right but much better. Worried how he will be after sleeping all night. This is scary stuff.

| Sending prayers for Riley. I hope he will be much better by morning. Did they not think he needed x-rays?

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | No they did no X-rays. He felt all over and moved things. Said nothing was broken. Thanks everyone for the nice words. I am hoping morning shows a little improvement. I do not like seeing my pups this way.

| Have you thought of VOM or Chiropractic ? They are basically the same as they both use the activator & it works wonderfully. |

We have tiffs sometimes over kongs. Recently, they have started separating themselves when they get them. Gidget will run and hide behind the long dining curtain w hers and Sidney will run into the family room and take it to her bed. It does stop the little spats!
