| ![]() Thank you so much. She (and I) can use all the prayers I can get. Her eating habits have never changed. If anything shes hungry more then usual and wants to eat more. She gets extremely worked up when I get her canned food out. She shakes and cries and jumps like she is starving. She will get playful at times but never lasts long any more. Shes been normal today. She did get some extra stress today because my mom and brother stopped by and she usually gets worked up when people come over that she doesnt see every day. Im wondering if thats why a lot of them were shed into her stool (not sure if they shed from the intestine when the dog becomes really stressed). I hope I take her tomorrow and they give her a dewormer and she goes back to her normal playful self. I really hope this was the problem the whole time. But it makes me very angry at the vets that have seen her. Shouldnt they think of parasites first when a dog comes in vomiting and blood in their stool? her one vet keeps telling me she doesnt feel comfortable giving her a dewormer because of her issues. Ugghh makes me angry if a dewormer would have prevented everything shes had to go through. |

| ![]() Yeah I took her yesterday. Wasn't to pleased with this vet. I had an eleven o'clock appointment and didn't get to talk to the bet until about 1245. I told her I thought I saw worms the night before so they gave her drontal plus. She didn't think the worms would be the problem for this long. She said hge only happens once and never again which I believe is an incorrect statement. She said she thinks it's inflammatory bowel disease and would bet her farm on it. She wants me to have the bioposy sent out so she can determine how severe and what type of ibd. She said she has to have a bioposy of the colon to determine this. I'm almost positive Daisys vet took one of the intestent. When I got home I looked up how to diagnose ibd and it said a bioposy of the intestent so I'm not sure if one of colon will determine it as well?? She then prescribed her metrodezenol and another that's with a c. Daisy had both these when all this started and it didn't help. Maybe she needs to be on them longer? I chose to do the dewormer give her a couple days and see if she goes back to normal. If not then I'll try the medicines and send the bioposy out. Not sure if I'll return to that vet though. I was recommended to another stomach specialist by my vet that I can try. I figured since this one was free it was worth going and getting an opinion. Daisy did have energy last night and was playful. Only slept 15 minutes when we got home then played all night and was extremely hungry. She begged for her food all night so I kept giving it to her. This morning she was really playful and now is going back to her lazy self. So not sure if that was a good sign. I didn't see any worms in her stool this morning but she had one normal and then two loose within five minutes so maybe I couldn't tell since it was loose? |
