Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I just got back from the Emergency Vet with Prada... she got an infection in her paw pad, it seems that the groomer cliped her pad when she was groomed and she forgot to tell me, well it got infected and this morning i noticed a bump in the side of the paw and it seemed to hurt, by 6 pm it was swollen and with a bit of yellow discharge, so I ran her to the ER, where she got an antibiotic injection and now is all wrapped, she looks so sad, she got clavamox for 5 days and I have to go back to have her check. right now she is sporting a bright pink wrap in her right leg.. this was my insane day... hugs, |

| Oh, goodness, the poor little thing. Imagine the pain she's been in since the cut and now an infection! No wonder you are a wreck. Hope the drug will clear that nasty boo-boo right up as paw infections can be so troublesome I've heard. Here's hoping little Prada is running and playing as usual in a few weeks.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Are you going to confront the groomer? Is the groomer the owner of the shop? I remember when watching the television grooming competition, the instructors were saying that that is the first rule of grooming, always tell the client about any injury, no matter how “minor”. Glad you discovered this and hope she recovers quickly, but had she told you, recovery would have been much simpler, I’m sure.

| Oh poor baby, I agree that you should tell the groomer as that is a big No No as far as I'm concerned. I hope she feels better soon. |

| Poor Prada - I hope the meds work quickly for her and she is feeling better soon. I agree with the others, you need to let the groomer know. It may be that the groomer didn't even notice that she/he had nicked Prada and if you mention it to the groomer at least she/he will be more mindful in the future and with other pups,

| I hope Prada is better soon. I have to admit that is one injury I've never heard of before, but I can see how it could happen.

| At least she is looking pretty with her haircut! She looks a lot like my baby, blond head and floppy ears. I am sure she hates that bandage big time! How big is she? |
