Culture just means that they set the sample up to allow any bacteria to grow so it can be identified.... most lab computer programs spit out the sensitivity to accompany the report.

It sounds like she is doing better most of the time. I hope you can get some answers on Thursday.

Lucy's test results came back from her latest culture and sensitivity test.

All the infection is gone. She is doing much better with holding her urine; I haven't seen anymore wet spots on the couch or her blankets.

So maybe she was healing and getting used to the new food as well.

Great news! I hope Lucy continues to do well. I think it would take time to recover from such a surgery, so maybe that and the infection are now in the past.

My Chihuahua had the bladder surgery and I wanted to comment on the Royal Canin S/O food. My Chi was white. No matter how I washed her face, how many times I washed her face, she always had tear stained eyes. She was given Hills S/D canned food to eat for about 2 weeks before the surgery. After about days 3 she NEVER had tear stained eyes again. Anyone else have that happen with their dog? It was like a miracle.
