| PDA Help please!!! What to do? My 3lb male toy yorkie "Justin" is sick. Vet "thinks" he has PDA but wants to "build a foundation" before he sayS what he thinks is wrong. He did tests last week, but "couldn't tell" what he saw. He has never heard a murmur (dog is 1& a half years old) He wants to do an MRI which is 1000.00 or an ultra sound for 375.. That doesn't even go beyond the pictures. Vet already charged me 375. For xrays and "a look see". He has no idea a range we might reach for surgery. I'm wondering if he even knows what he's doing. He's never notice anything wrong with my dog in all the times he's seen him. The only reason he saw this was a chest xray for his cold. I want to simply take him to a specialist, but not sure what kind to look for. Why am I paying him for things that a surgeon may have to do all over again. I have four handicapped kids (adopted) and this dog belongs to one of them. I need help on what to do I need a good doc in Ventura California or Santa Barbara calif Thanks for your help !!!!, |

| You are wise to seek the opinion of a specialist. I suggest a board certified cardiologist. Here is a link for you to locate one in your area: ACVIM Please keep us updated! I will keep your little Justin in my thoughts and prayers.
