Hugs to Miss Ellie Bellie! And to you! I knew you'd pull her through this, and she is such a little fighter. I feel like she will continue to make wonderful progress in her healing; she's a yorkie - it's classic for a yorkie to pull off little miracles and be unpredictable. What great news to start off the new year with. You and Ellie have been in our thoughts every single day, and will continue to be. We  you! |
(I don't know how I missed seeing this thread before ) Crystal, I am so sorry Miss Ellie has been through all this. It's wonderful to hear that she's feeling better for now and hopefully for a long time to come. I pray this good stage continues. Sending her lots of gentle hugs and kisses. |
So glad Ellie is doing much better! |

Our biggest issue is toys because we have not found any way to make her stop shaking them! It's really hard on her neck, so we just take the toy away and stop playing when she does it. And now that she has a brother and sister, she's barking, nipping, chasing, and even though she's fragile I know I can't totally protect her because she is a dog after all, and she will act like a dog. We just have to do our best to limit whatever we can for her own good! |
Glad to hear Miss Ellie is feeling better. She is a little fighter that is for sure. I will continue to keep her and you in my thoughts and prayers. |
so sorry to read about Ellie, but glad that she's doing better. Sending prayers for her to continue getting better. Hugs. |
This is terrific news Crystal! |

Very happy to read that Ellie is doing so well! I have been thinking of her and you, Crystal, every day, praying for her to continued improvement. Glad to hear crate rest is over, but I can imagine you do still have your hands full trying to keep her from bouncing around. You done good! (Wish I were one of her doctors because I bet they are receiving a constant supply of home-made cookies ;)). |
So happy to hear Ellie is improving.... Great news!! |
Great to hear she's doing so well. Praying for her to get better and better.:) |
4 Attachment(s) We look a trip outside for some fresh air. Never realized how terrible this celly camera is. You're all so sweet for thinking about the girl. :) @Maximo - I've been slacking. Oops. @Linz - I envy anybody that can control their dog's jumping. I'd have to hold her 24/7 to do that. So we'll just have to start gating her in areas w/o furniture to try and stop it. The toys! Yes. This makes me think..she probably won't be able to have the bigger stuffs toys that she likes to "kill". We'll have to stick to balls. My vet was saying something about the thoraco-lumbar area taking a dog down faster than cervical..or something (which brings to mind some article I was reading about the diameter blah bleh and how..I think there is more room in the cervical vertabrae. I'd have to ask again. Do you know where Layla's original problem was at? |
Woohoo! It is so good to see little Ellie out and about. I bet she loved it! (Get on that cookie baking....hmm, I think I might make some tonight or tomorrow :D) |
glad she was able to get out of the house for a bit...bet she really enjoyed it. Praying that she continues to stay well and improve. Good luck keeping her calm. |
Its good to see Miss Ellie able to get outside to get some fresh air. I know she must have loved being outside.:) |
