Oh! Perhaps that is a different story, but it still seems exhorbitant to me. I have one idea. Send a pm to Shanatink (a member here) and ask her for advice. She lives in Dallas and has an on-line doggie clothes store, too. Sound like a plan?

Not sure where you are in TX.....but yes many vets require a deposit. It's sad when dealing with a sick puppy......just try and keep doing what your doing.....like I said get him checked again if you can.....and watch for signs he's getting worst. Labored breathing or nasal discharge would be two things to watch for. And also his temp.....temp should be 101.5. If it's high or low....it could be cause for concern. Bless your heart.....don't be scared....we will pray for him. Can you tell us what city you are close to?

Just sent the pm. Hopefully will get some good advise on a vet in the area. I promise I want to do everything for my little baby.....just can't afford $500.00 after everything I have paid this week! Let me know if you guys find out anything else I could be doing!

I am in Irving, right outside of Dallas. The two times that he has been to the vet this week, he hasn't had a fever at all.

I am so sorry for what you have been going through! I will keep you both in my prayers. Hopefully with people on here who are experienced with this and the close eye you are keeping on him will have him well soon. Does he have any other conditions that may be weakening his immune system- coccidia, etc?

No no don't stop the cough suppressant completely....you don't want him to have a severe cough....read my other post. give to him sparely.....until a vet tells you to stop....

His fecal came back negative and the vet said everything else checked out. Just the Xray showing that he had pneumonia and the cough.

I have been giving it to him mainly before bedtime to help him sleep better. Think that is enough?

As long as they are opened on Saturday, then I can get there. I drove past McKinney to go get my little baby to begin with.

Yes probably is enough....unless he has coughing spasms during the day. Rest is very important....so giving at bedtime is probably good.
