YorkieTalk Newbie! | My yorkie poop is hard My2yr old yorkie poop is really hard and somewhat slime at the tips. My dog doesn't cry and he doesn't seem different but his poop is weird. Is their something wrong with him or should I switch his food? |

| If he is straining to eliminate, then there is a problem. If the "slime" is mucous, I believe that means an intestinal irritation that needs to be addressed. Or it could be the fluid from the anal glands, or it could just be softer poop. Mucous or blood means time for the vet. Blood can be bright red (lower intestine) or very dark (upper intestine/stomach). Any diet changes recently?

YorkieTalk Newbie! | I think it was something he ate, he's all better now =) thank you for your help. Nope I've been feeding him natural balance for a while now but I had him try some other food and I guess it didn't fit well with him. |
