Yay Sammy! Bless the loving people at Texas A&M, I am so happy for you. Have a safe trip back up here tomorrow! Hope Sammy has a restful night and will keep being a strong boy during recovery!!! |
So happy to read this good news about Sammy. Drive carefully back up there and home again!:) |
Yeah three cheers for Sammy , what a little fight-her, so happy to hear that he pulled through, prayers for a speedy recovery, having two things done might really make a big difference in his quality of life. (fingers crossed that he will be jogging:D) Linda do you jog???? if not you might need to take it up to keep up with Sammy:p |

I'm so glad Sammy is coming home! He is an amazing little guy! We've been strapped lately with our own dogs and their health concerns, but I'm going to make a little donation right now to Sammy!! I know every dollar counts! |

Sammy is home! The estimate for his surgery was $1,200....it ended up a little bit over $1,600. I was so happy...then thought how crazy it was to think that $1,600 was not much. He looks pretty good...but he is really drugged up. He did not know me when they handed him to me and he slept all the way back in the car. I will update later after he wakes up...and I do too from my cat nap. :D |

Thank you for all that you do for these foster pups, Linda. You are amazing. Hope you both enjoy a well deserved nap. :) |
The nap was not a long one. :D Anyway...Sammy woke up to eat. He ate very well...I gave him a dose of Tramadol because he seemed a bit painful. He is sleeping now. |
Glad to hear he is eating and resting. And glad to know he is back home with you!! |
So glad to hear that Sammy is home and is doing well and has also eaten as well. Prayers continue for his recovery. |
I just got off the phone with my vet. Little Sammy's penis is sticking out...just the tip of it but it had me worried. Since he still has some swelling from the surgery and is having ice packs applied....I am to wait until Monday and take him in if it continues. Just apply a lubricant and keep it in as best as I can. Poor Sammy. :( They can put a suture in to keep it in place if it refuses to stay in. I just don\'t want him to have to go through anything else. :( |
