He is doing well not because of me really, but because of his strong will. It really is amazing that an older pup like him could be as active and well as he is. They were all surprised by him at A&M and at my vet's office. He is a perfect example that you need to evaluate the pup...not just look at labs, x-rays and other tests. |
Way to go Sammy! What a little trooper he is!:animal36 |

Prayers and hugs for Sammy, happy to know he is with LJ and is receiving lots of love and great care. |
Poor Sammy is having bladder issues. :( Prior to going to A&M he had two surgeries to correct bilateral perineal hernias .. both failed....but the last one they did a procedure that helped to anchor the bladder since it kept slipping into the hernia. Until now he has been fine. He had some problems voiding this morning, so I took him to my vet, and as I suspected, his bladder had slipped back into the hernia. She removed 48 cc of urine from the hernia. He has an appt. with the Soft Tissue Department at Texas A&M tomorrow at 10AM. :( I just pray that they can help him. If they can operate, I know it will be a big concern because of his multiple neuro issues. I am so sad for this little guy. He is such a love. |
oh linda im so sorry i will keep sammy in my prayers for the best outcome. |

Oh, I suppose I should add a positive thought....the surgery could be successful. :) |

I understand. I have been there with my babies and family members. I just can not see hope, but there is hope. The surgery WILL be successful!!! Say it.. beleive it. Not to sound stupid.. what would happen if he did not have surgery.. would he have to go into the vets daily to have bladder emptied? |
