| Distemper shot after effects My Yorkie had a distemper shot today, he also had a heartworm test. This evening he seems listless. I will be calling the vet tomorrow morning if his condition has not improved but if anyone here as some information on this I would be obliged. |

| I am not sure about the Distemper shot but this last time Rosie has a reaction to her shots. She just laid around all night. I was really worried but she ended up doing just fine. I would call the vet just to be on the safe side.

| This is normal. As long as he is eating/drinking/pooping/peeing and his gums are pink and wet, no need to worry. If he doesn't get his energy back soon, then time to call the vet.

| Distemper Effects Common response for distemper vaccine. This is due to the presence of an attenuated virus made with cDNA, that is nonpathogenic which produces an immune response. Regards, W. Brown DVM |

| If you are a vet as your website says in Palm Springs CA why can I not find any information on you or your partner in frozen sperm?

| I don't think you'll get in to UCLA vet school Crystal - they don't have a vet school.

| Vet School Crystal, UCLA has an excellent Ecology Undergraduate program, . Are you local to the Palms Springs area? Vet schools here in the U.S. tend to favor applicants with some veterinary related experience. You might consider volunteering at your local shelter to gain some insight. Kind Regards, W. Brown |

| Well darn. Maybe it's supposed to say UC Davis? Anyway Dr. Brown, could you explain recombinant vs. non-recombinant vaccines, how each works, and the duration of immunity given from each? Since there is a recombinant distemper vaccine available, it would be interesting to know. Are less reactions seen with this type?

I also suggest if you are a legit person, you clear up, the valid concerns about entitling yourself a DVM, and yet you don't appear listed as licensed in CA. Supply your license number, or business address. It is egregious to mislead members of the public by claiming a false doctorate.
