Please Keep My Sweet Taycie Girl in your prayers.
 

Last night about 6:30 Taycie started to vomit. I cleaned up the mess and she acted like her normal self. At 9:30 she threw up again and again at 11:30.

I called the E.R. vet and told them her symptoms. They told me if she continues to throw up within the next 2 hours she needs to be seen.

Needless, to say I stayed up all night long watching her. She never did throw up the rest of the night. Her energy level is the same she is still her very normal self.. By 3am she was sitting at her dish and crying for food.

At 7:15 I spoke with my reg. vet and told her what was going on. She told me to watch her and see how she does. I got dressed at headed to work. Thankfully she is lucky to come with me. At 8:20 she threw up again in her crate at work while I was getting kids ready for school. I heard her and I called my vet.

She is now at the vet office. Unfortunelty, my regular vet who I always see what booked up for the day. The only option they had was to do in-patient care as the office was completely booked for the day. So after dropping off the youngest one off at school I took Taycie to the vet.

They are running bloodwork and possible subq fluids. The tech that checked us in didn't think she was dehydrated but she thought the vet who will see her would probably do it. ( I love this other vet as well so we are in good hands) I should get a call today about 12 to see what the bloodwork looks like.. I would prefer to do out house but I don't know if waiting for results is a good idea?? I don't know.. I am just trying to be proactive here in case things get worse.. I also have the words pancreatitis running through my head right now..

She is however acting very normal.. She has an appetite, wants to play. I am just praying things go smoothly.. On a side note.. I just payed my car off so that will help the finances:) True blessing in disguise. I also have Care Credit and a empty credit card for emergencies only.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I just hope things turn out ok. I hate leaving her there.

Also hoping all is well with Taycie. So good to hear that if care and funding is needed you are prepared, but I am praying that you will not need it... Sending yorkie hugs to you and Taycie.

It could be pancreatitis, or just Gastroenteritis. The blood work will help w/ the diagnosis. I'm so glad Taycie is at the vet. Do you know what set her off? Maybe the LI food is too high in fat?

I have no idea.. I am complelty at a loss... I am so anal about what she eats. And I mean I am probably too anal..She only gets her RX food. That is it! That is her treats.. everything.. I am so careful and overprotective as well. If kids are getting into the food she is in her crate. Then I make sure everything is cleaned up and swept up.. I just don't want to risk it. I always have my eye out for her.. what she is chewing on, smelling..everything.. so I am so lost here.

I called RC on the fat content before I started her on this.. its 12.1 Typical anaylsis.. I didn't feel it was too high?? Maybe I am wrong.. She has done so great on it..

I should add.. I also have pet insurance.. so this does ease my mind a little. However I am nervous if this IS Gastronentitis I am afraid my claim will not be approved because that is what are first claim was for... However I will take that any day over Pancreatitis.

I am washing her blankets.... We are never apart..I am so anxious right now.

Hang in there. Waiting is always the hardest part. I'm thinking about your Taycie girl and hoping it will be ok.

Thank you:)... No news yet. It's 11:49 my time and they told me to expect a call around 12.. So I am hoping my phone will start ringing.... I am such a nervous wreck..

Oh poor Taycie! I do hope it's nothing serious. It sounds like she's getting the very best of care, so hang in there Momma, and stay positive. It's good that she's acting normally and still wants to eat and play, though, so it may be nothing more than an upset tummy. Who knows, she may have just eaten a little bug or a piece of fuzz or something, and that was enough to set her tummy off?
