i just so this post and im so happy to hear summer surived and thrived from her dog attack.

i wish mine had..i lost mine last week to a mastiff and i did rush her to the vets but unforunately she was too bad off

so happy for summer n send prayers for sunnyd

Sunny is still not eating. He is still scheduled for discharge...and will be on tube feedings when he comes home. I hope we can get him eating again...this is all so puzzling. He will walk around and wag his tail...it's not like he is just laying around not eating.

Sunny D was released Monday in the afternoon because I was not going to be able to get him on Tuesday.

I apologize for not doing updates sooner, but my life has been a bit chaotic lately. My Teddy Bear now has pancreatitis and is going daily for fluids.

Anyway....Sunny D is doing fairly well. He has 11 different meds!!!! And, tube feedings every 4 - 6 hours...so I am quite busy.

Today, I opened his mouth to check his tongue and it looks like the tip is getting ready to fall off. The necrotic area now is about an inch so I am assuming he will lose all of that. He is drooling quite a bit and when he drinks water, he is a total mess. I guess in time he will get used to life without it. Poor guy.

I think it is getting less painful though because he did eat a couple of pieces of a sweet potato. He tried to eat a slightly crunchy treat, but that was hard for him. He has not eaten since this all started almost 2 weeks ago. I think once the tongue issue is resolved he will be eating again.

At least he seems happy...he comes to me and wags his tail and sleeps with all of us in bed. He seems so much better now...and, as I said in another post, his labs are now pretty good. He will return to the specialist on Tuesday, 2/12.

Linda prayers will still continue for Sunny D. Prayers are also started for Teddy Bear.

Thank you everyone. Please pray for my Teddy Bear (he is not a foster). He started out with a presumptive diagnosis yesterday of pancreatitis. Was on fluids all day. Last night had some rectal bleeding and I took him to the EC where thank God, my favorite EC vet, Dr. Head was there. Poor Teddy's bladder was distended and full of bloody urine. He has bladder stones. He went to my vet early this morning and was referred to GCVS. They have found many stones AND urine in his abdominal cavity. They are not sure where it is coming from. Prognosis is guarded. I am just sick over this. I will see hiim in the morning...also taking Sunny D for a surgical consult at GCVS because of his tongue. When it rains is pours.
