My poor baby vomitted!!! Okay, maybe I am freaking out, but he is so little I worry alot about him. Rock woke me up about 1 am this morning to go potty (which is normal), but he want to play afterwards (wanted to go back to sleep), so I put him in his crate. At about 4:30, I heard him crying louder than usual when he wants. Of course I just went and got him and put him bed with me and my boyfriend. I don't know about ya'll, but at 4:30 in the morning I don't turn on any lights, so I did not see that he got sick in his bed. Anyways, about 5 minutes after I put him in bed with me, he vomitted all over me. He started to get sick again, so I got up quickly and put him in the bathroom where he vomitted a third time. He seemed fine after that he drank a some water and went on the hunt for Callie (the cat) and his toys. I chased him done and picked up because I did not want him to get to excited with his upset belly. Now is napping in my lap as we speak. I am going to call this vet this morning to be on safe side, but I was wondering if ya'll had any thoughts about this.

Keep a close eye on him. If he doesn't do it again everything should be fine. Give him a dose of Nutrical just to be on the safe side. It is good that he drank on his own. I know it is scarey. If diarreah starts then you will have to make sure he doesn't get dehydrated. I just had 2 pups go through this. I gave them Nutrical and made sure they got fluids and they were both fine within 12 hours.

Rocky Update!!!! He has not gotten sick since that last time. He has ate a little bit of his food and drank water. I called the vet this morning and they said to watch him and see how he does the rest of the morning, and if he gets sick again to bring him in. They think he may have ate something he was not suppose too. Those little guys are always getting into something.

Another Rocky update!!!! I ended up taking Rocky to the vet this afternoon because he would let me touch his belly. Which is not like him at all, he loves to have his belly rubbed. Well anyways I took him and they took an X-ray to make sure he did not eat something that could caused blockages or anything. Good news, he did not, but he does have Gastrits. So he is an antibotics, Metoclopramide (prevent vomitting and diarrhea?, and rice/chicken. The vet said he should start to feel better in a day or two. Thank goodness!!!!!! This is my first yorkie and I did not realize that they are sentative little babies.

| aww, I'm glad he's better. About 4 days after we brought Scout home to join our family, both he and Pippa(my 1 year old yorkie) got a tummy bug...vomiting and diarrhea. The vet did pretty much the same thing for them. The chicken and rice really helped. I boiled some chicken thighs and breasts, then cooked the rice in the broth. They absolutley loved it...I had so much left over that I froze the rest of it in portioned zip lock freezer bags for the next time they feel under the weather I won't be running to the store at who knows when.
