When to consider euthanasia

Thank you, LadyJane, for your help with Zoey. I pray she will arrive safely in Florida and will get the treatment she needs to live a long and healthy life. I'm sure her mom's heart is sad. She sacrificed and did so unselfishly for her baby.

The OP contacted me this evening to update me. Zoey made it safely to FL and she said that she understands that surgery was done today. She has not heard details but will let me know when she does.

She is understandably very sad about having to turn Zoey over but does realize it was best for her.

She said that it has been difficult to even think about getting on YT to update. I assured her that I will let you all know how things are and that if the day comes that she can do it, we would love to see her here. She really appreciates everyone's kindness throughout all of this.

I am sure that UYR would appreciate any donations that any of you can make towards Zoey's care. I know how difficult it is to raise money these days. So, if you can, please help them.

Thanks for the update Linda. I pray that God will give the OP the strength to make it through this. She made a huge sacrifice by doing what was best for the pup. I know it must be terribly hard on her. I am so glad that UYR was able to take the pup in and get her the care she needed.

First of all, I want to commend Linda for asking for help for little Zoey when we all know how much help her little ones need and the sacrifices she makes for them. For her to come on YorkieTalk and unselfishly ask for help for another pup is amazing! As all YT's wake up this morning to take care of our one, two or maybe three little ones - I can't help but think about the tireless work that Linda continues to do to help the less fortunate pups that don't have the warm and soft beds to sleep in each night. I'll make a donation this morning to both Zoey and Yorkie Haven Rescue for all that Linda does. Thank you and good luck to little Zoey!
