| Well.. The vet thinks he stepped on something which is causing the abcess and there's infection in it, obviously. The vet didn't see anything, like a stinger, thorn, or debris in the sore, so she's put him on two weeks antibiotics and nightly foot soaks.. But it didn't end there, when she wave giving the general inspection she noted that Gizmo's ears were red and a little swollen on the inside. She tried to get some debris deep down in the ear canal to run some tests to make sure it wasn't ear mites. I told her that I clean out his ears weekly and that they usually are pretty dirty. So, the test came back negative so the vet gave me a bottle of the ear cleaner to try instead of qutips along with instructions. She said that she thinks, like humans, Gizmo has environmental allergies which can contribute to more matter in the ears. But wait! There's more! She was a little concerned that Gizmo was losing weight. Past three visits his weight has gone down from 4.12 to 4.8 to 4.4 today. She said that it may be from the infection in his paw and him not eating as much, which would explain the food issues I've been having, and him having summer allergies. So, she wants to see his weight up a little bit on our next two week visit. Today kind of stunk But at least it's not too bad, we're at home now, and Gizmo is fast asleep on my lap. Completely unphased.

| Poor little Gizmo. Sounds like he has not been feeling well. Gidget has been on Claritin for environmental allergies, and she has been feeling better. She had a cough and some weight loss. Hope Gizmo is feeling better soon!
