Didn't break back open, so don't have to go digging through the cupboards on a tea bag quest quite yet. The Tramadol (pills) didn't go down so well. Lots of slobber. Bet he pukes tonight. If this thing stays closed on its own for another half hour, I'm going to bed. He ain't touchin it. It hurts too much. I'm hungry, but so full of blood that the kitchen wouldn't be a good place to hang. Somebody make me a snack. |
Oh boy! That looks like it hurts. Is it still bleeding? If the tea bad doesn't hold stop the bleeding you could apply it to your eyes for the puffiness from staying up all night. Then in the morning you can make yourself a cup of tea. :p |
Bleck - tea is yucky! It has stopped bleeding. He is such a goof. We are in the bathroom together so he doesn't bleed everywhere. I'm laying on the floor on the laptop wanting him to lay next to me. Didn't bring a blankie with me, so he has decided I should be the one to lay on the floor and he'll just lay on top of me. His nails are driving into my back. Isn't this pleasant. He makes a nice warm blankie for me though. My screen and keyboard are splattered in blood. I wonder what the best thing to use to clean a computer is. |
I would transport you a sandwich and some milk if I could! Bet you really are starving. Sounds like you have had a horrible evening but you have done a yoeman's job of trying to care for that poor boy in his hour after hour of need. I don't know what in the world to use on a computer to clean blood off it but - ?Windex? I wouldn't clean the screen with that until I Googled the question to see what the geeks say is safe. Sure hope you can finally get a cat-nap or two tonight as I know you are dead tired. Hope tomorrow - well, today is a better day than it started out. |
He is sleeping in his crate. :) Clotting nicely. I'll pester his vet in the morning over whether he should be seen. Just hate to take him somewhere out of town. MSU is not far, but they don't take appt., so we will see. |
Oh Crystal, reading this just makes me sick...and so sad. Poor Rylee, I'm so sorry. I hope he heals fine, and his hair will cover the missing part. |
Wow Crystal, I am so sorry about poor Rylee's ear. I hope this morning he is still not bleeding. I would say once his ear heals, you won't be able to tell where the missing part is. His hair should cover it. |
Just checking on little Rylee this morning. |
Poor Baby Rylee, sad to hear he is in pain, give him hugs from us, |
Poor Rylie! It looks like it hurts :( not only is Rylie lucky to have you but you are lucky to have him. He sounds like a wonderful dog and friend. Wondering how he is this morning. |
Sending get well hugs to Rylee! |
Aww, I'm sorry about poor Rylee's ear. I hope it's a little bit better now. I learned early on that the 'good' chews (bully sticks, etc) had to be given in their crates because they will fight over those. And Lucy usually loses. The crappy rawhide stuff - can lay everywhere with no problem. We don't do bully sticks anymore so it's not a problem any more. I hope that Rylee is feeling lots better!! |
Yikes, that looks pretty painful! Poor Rylee. :( And poor you... how horrible. :( When Jackson was a pup, I had him outside on a leash when the farm dog (black lab) came down, seemed friendly, and snapped at Jackson resulting in a bloody nose. He scraped off part of his nose and I thought he would forever have a scar there but it actually went away. His mouth was bleeding, too, I think the dog had gotten his gums somehow and I just remember it bleeding forever (but not as bad as Rylee). I hate blood, too, so I feel your pain. I hope Rylee gets better! |
Just seeing this. Poor Rylee........:( Hoping he heals up nice and quick....and hoping you got a little sleep. Keep Us Posted! Give him extra hugs from Riley & Me. :) |
He is doing okay today. Showed his vet a pic. She says it's a doozy. Calling in more cephalexin. Might get it clipped and cleaned when we head back home. Came to my sister's house. We wanted Rylee and her dog to be friends. May have introduced them wrong, but I didn't think to do it outside bc they are both such friendly pups who love other dogs.. Started to fight at first sniff. Don't know which one started it. Broke them up. Then everytime Rylee saw her he would bark his brains out. They went on a walk together and did fine. Back here and he is growling and barking at her again and she is obviously not liking him either. They got chews to try and help calm them down and... He was growling when she came near. She bit and he screamed. She then tried to chase him down when he was walking away hurt. She hates his guts. She still lounges at him when one of her owners pet him. But they went on another walk and were fine. It's inside the house that's the problem.. But they are separated now for his safety and to shut him up. I'd like to know who started the first fight, but it all happened so fast. I wonder if she got upset bc he probably barked at her (he greets that way). Now he barks and growls from a distance and she tries to get closer and her intentions seem questionable at best! He is snuggled in his crate now in an effort to save his other ear from being eaten. |
