| It sounds like she's in pain. She really needs to see a vet now.

| Black stool indicates bleeding farther up in the digestive tract. It can be extremely serious. This is a medical emergency. She needs to see the vet right now.

| Get her to a vet ASAP. You might want to give her some nutrical right away as well.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Please listen to the above posters, they know what they are talking about! Praying everything goes well. I don't think this is anxiety.

| I see you are off line now and hope you are at the vet. It will be much less costly if you have Lucy seen by your regular vet than to wait and try to find an ER vet in the middle of the night. Please check back to let us know how she is doing.

| Just checking back to see if Lucy has been to see the vet yet. Sending prayers that she's feeling better soon.

| Thanks I had called her vet and he told me to give her some meds, and a little Pepto. She seems to be doing a little better today. Thanks for all your concern and advice. |

| Lucy needs to see a vet for an exam and testing. Dark stool can indicate internal bleeding. Stiffening and gasping for air is not normal. If the vet told you to drug her at home for these issues, then a second opinion is needed.
