| Oh my gosh - just saw the updates on this thread. I am so glad that Princess is on her way in. Bonny and Karen, you are both so thoughtful and amazing. Anxiously awaiting updates - I sincerely hope that Princess will be okay. I am worried about her. |

| Yes please keep us updated. I'm worried for your baby. We had a similar issue with Bentley but it wasn't pancreatitis. The vet said it was a virus or flu kind of thing. But that baby needs immediate medical care. I'd just bring her into another vet, don't call, unless you get the number and call on the way and briefly explain your situation. Just go!

| First & foremost Princess is OK. I am so taken back by all of the love & generosity YTer's offer. It continues to bring tears to my eyes. I'll get back to that in a sec, here's the medical low down: We went to a very highly recommended vet here. I took Princess to her for her initial puppy exam & shots but they were a lot more expensive than every other vet, so I switched to one closer way back yet they could not get me in. The vet from this a.m. yes, he may have been an adequate vet for my mom's dogs, but they weren't yorkies. Chi's about 20 years ago & no toys since. The biggest lesson to me is you pay for what you get! I wanted to cut $$ corners & obviously he wanted to cut exam corners-bad combo. She did 4 X rays, her pancreas was not easily recognized as inflamed, etc. though she could tell a little. No foreign objects. She gave her barium to help coat her stomach & also in case repeat X rays are needed tomorrow. She gave her subQ fluids & said she was not dehydrated by her examination. She said her gums were moist, color good, so maybe I was thinking they'd be moister? ![]() They kept her in the back for a bit to do everything & by the time she returned Princess was a new dog. Alert, walking around, asking to leave. The two hours prior she was wrapped in her blankey on my lap or the bench - that would never happen normally. She said to feed her today, she's too little to got this long without. Her little tummy has air in it, it's completely empty. She gave me two cans of i/d, I'm going to offer it in a little bit. She ran right to the water when we walked in the door, of course that made me tear up, too. I asked her about the oatmeal & she said she's never heard of it, though she was very polite not trying to offend him. When the recept. called to get this mornings visit faxed over I could tell they were rude to her. I asked her if they gave her a hard time & she just said she expects it when she calls them. ![]() She is having me continue the amox. but she did lower the dose. Anything I left out just ask & I'll try to find it in my rattled brain. Now back to the love & generosity of those on YT-I have never seen it so much in a group of people from all over the world who may never meet in person & have met online. It's so touching to know that someone has your back, someone cares about your baby, about you. The well wishes, support & even tough love meant so much. There are two ladies as well that I feel really went above & beyond. Bonnie aka BonBon & Karen aka AllDogBoots made it possible to get everything done today, not having to choose to Xray or not & just giving all of us peace of mind. You ladies are so wonderful, I cannot thank you enough. When they told me I already had a +balance it made me cry. I quit crying, called my mother later & told her & we both cried. It's such a great feeling for so many reasons to see such good, selfless, loving things happen. Thank you again.Thank you all for everything. I will update as the night goes on & hopefully we can all sleep well tonight. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() : thankyou2![]() ![]()

| Oh how wonderful! I am so happy your baby is doing much better! Yes I have never seen such amazing people anywhere let alone all in one place here on YT. The people willing to help you financially is just beyond amazing! They are your angels. I want to cry because I am so happy with how this turned out. I can relate to being financially stuck in one place and we had to pay $150 for Bentley today just for a few medicines and the exam. He's got infections in his ears But enough about me! I'm so happy for you! You deserve all the love you got here. I'm glad you did the right thing by taking your baby to the other vet. Yes that first vet seems like an idiot. I'm sorry you had to experience that. I'd never go to that vet again and make sure people around you know not to, too, especially if they have small dogs. HUGS!!

| Did they do blood? Glad she is feeling better. Yes, the oatmeal thing was the most idiotic thing I've ever heard in my life.

| Yes, he was definitely off his rocker...him telling me to wait to late tomorrow morning was an even clearer indication he didn't know his butt from a hole in the ground. She did not do blood work, she said she'd be able to tell more & rule out more about the current situation via x ray, but we did talk about coming in for a full panel soon & even sooner than that if this reoccurs.
