Sounds like everyone could use some doggy shoes! Glad Riley is okay...

I Googled it after I got home and was even more scared.....

just thinking It could have been sooooooooo much worse!!
I am so Thankful!!!!!!!
I will be carrying an ice cold water bottle in one of his Kwigy Bo side pockets from now on!!!!

On another Note, I just got back from my daily trip home for lunch.
As of today, Riley has Full Run of the whole place. He had only had full run of the whole bedroom since June 6th.

I opened the door and he was hanging out on the couch with his snuggle puppy, Buddy.....watching tv. =)
He ran to me and I immediately picked him up....... carried him to the kitchen where I made him drink some water and then immediately put his harness on and took him outside.
He Had Not Used The PeePee Pad....
When we got outside he went peepee 2-times!!

He Is Such A Good Boy!!!!!!!

I was so paranoid I carried him down the sidewalk going out until we got to the shaded part and I picked him up before we got to the half circle asphalt in front of my building, coming back in.

I am so glad that he is ok! Most of us are not aware that the pavement gets so darn hot during the summer. Asphalt actually reaches temperatures above 150º and is hot enough to cause a second-degree burn within 35 seconds from 10 AM to 5 PM. I don't even take my dogs for walks during the summer, even on white pavement or light colored gravel. It's just too hot.

And what a great surprise for you today going outside and not using the pee pad!!

Awwww, you sound like me. That's exactly how I would've reacted. I'm so glad he's alot better. :O)
