I would feed her nothing but the i/D diet as your vet suggested. She is having too many symptoms for my liking. |

Just talked to my vet on the phone. We are on our way to see him. I will let you know. Thanks all! Say a prayer for my baby! |
Good luck. Hoepfully it is from the stress and your vet can give you something to help with the diarrhea until Rosie adjusts to Mikki. |
Get better Rosie, your not being replaced! hang in there girls. |

Will be here waiting for your update! |
We are back from the vet's office. He has given Rosie's tummy issues the diagnosis of IBS. As the blood work ruled out other similar issues. We are to continue with the I/D and he gave her an antibiotic. He feels it was flared up by the stress. However, the IBS has been something she has had with her tummy issues. But the good news is that she is OK!!!! BTW, the pumpkin worked to stop the loose stools. But to give me peace of mind I went to the vet. Just had to go. She has not had any symptoms this morning. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. |
Glad she will be ok. Make sure not to give her any other food or treats. As far as bringing a second dog into the house - what worked for me, and I'm not sure if anyone else would agree, is that I more or less ignored my second dog (Max) when he was brought into my family. I wanted to be 100% certain that Cooper knew he was my #1. Max followed us around so he was included. There has never been any issue with either of them knowing that Cooper is the alpha dog. However, we've had food aggression issues and I had to separate their feedings. Now, Cooper just gives Max "the ugly face" and Max knows to back off. It's going to take some time for them to become sisters, but it will happen. Today, both dogs know they are loved equally. |
I'm glad you have a diagnosis and that the pumpkin worked! Poor Rosie. My mom has IBS so I can sorta know what Rosie is going through. I'd continue to feed her pumpkin for a while just to make sure the diarrhea doesn't come back for a while, hopefully by that time she will be less stressed. Good luck! I'm thinking of your family. |
Thank you so much!!! I can not believe it but she liked the pumpkin! I thought she would hate it but she ate it right up! :D |
Glad to hear you got a diagnosis. Cali has it and I just can't vary her diet. |

All I did was give her some boiled chicken. Never thought it would hurt. Not doing that again! He said there are many things that can flare it up. |
Happy to hear Rosie is ok, I am sure she will calm down in a few days. |
