The surgeon just called. The surgery went well and he is in ICU recovering. He may be discharged tomorrow...or possibly the next day depending on he is doing in the morning.

They are going to email me when he stands up so I know that he is ok. He is sitting up right now, so that is a good sign! :)

It's wonderful that this sweet little boy has you to care for him. I hope Sammy improves more and more each day from his surgery.

I just wish I had missed it. :p:D Well...not missed it, but not had to have poor Sammy go through it....or me. hah

i know what you mean. i think it's time to take Sadie in for a blood panel to rule out health being her reason for random attacks on her brother. :(

Glad to hear Sammy's surgery was successful and he will be home soon!

I too somehow missed this thread but will keep Sammy (and you) in my thoughts/prayers as he recovers and faces his AAI surgery.

Prayers for your sammy, it sure does show how our hearts just some times know when we need to react fast, he is very lucky to have you.

Many thanks to all of you for your well wishes for little Sammy! I hope they discharge him tomorrow. The tech emailed me this evening before she went home and said that Sammy was sitting up "telling everyone all about it"...referring to his yappy self. He is definitely a talker..hah! If that is any indication of how he is, he will probably be out of there tomorrow.

Not been able to get online for a few days so I missed this. I am glad to hear Sammy did well during the surgery and telling them all about it. :) Will keep the the little guy in prayer for complete and speedy recovery.
