| Donating YT 4000 Club Member  |  Ok, I'll be the rude one here (so what else is new?  )The OP stated she knew what she to look for ( in relation to distress). Yet she/ he is on an online forum asking questions of perfect strangers during a crisis. That to me speaks of someone who has done minimal research and doesn't have a mentor. As the saying goes, they have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. A small dog weighs, what 7 pounds or less. Pick them up, deal with the biting and get the dog to someone who really does know what they are doing before more pups die.
