Worried.....is he sick? Lately my little boy doesn't seems to show interests in his kibble or anything that I put in his bowl. He would sniff a bit and either run away or push the bowl around with his nose. Unless, if I hand feed him, then he will eat but in a slower pace than usual. In the past, he would be jumping around when I was pouring kibble into his bowl. the moment I put down the bowl, he would just gobble up everything in less than 2 mins. Now, I have to slowly hand feed him, else he won't even touch his food. Is he sick? Is this normal? Has anyone ever encounter this before? However, when I give him treats or any other food, seems to me like no problem. He will gobble them up pretty fast. But when I put the treat on his bowl, he will sniff a bit, feeling hesitated to eat but eventually he will if it's something else besides his kibble. Is he bored with his kibble? Do I need to change his kibble or his food? Kinda worried.....

He does sound like he's bored. Brandi goes through this from time to time. It's like I have to hand feed her to get her to eat. Everything else was normal with her. She no problem eating her treats or anything else. She get's tired of eating the same thing all the time. But I am hesistant to try something else because her bowels are so perfect and every other food I tried would give her diarrhea. So I be interested in hearing from others' as well.

| How old is your boy and what are you feeding him? I did find that I had to change brands of kibble to keep Lucy interested. Right now - she will eat her blue Buffalo plain - with nothing on it. However, if she is being a picky eater - I will mix in some cooked carrots, peas, or greenbeans - which she loves. You can also sprinkle some parmasean cheese on there. Of an evening, I mix with a tbsp of canned Wellness chicken or turkey.

I'm currently feeding him Fish4Dogs for puppies. He was on Orijen - puppy formula for a while. Then he start showing sign that he is bored. So I get Fish4Dog and mix it, he seems to like it. Then he start to dislike Orijen. So I just feed him Fish4Dog for a while. From time to time, he will go thru this stage where he will not wan to touch his food. I will just leave it in his crate and eventually he will eat it up. But this time, he won't touch his food for hours. So I end up hand feeding him or praise him while he eat bit by bit with the help of treats. Now that his meal time is messed up, his regular poo time got messed up too. This is kinda frustrating to me as I need to go to work. Didn't wan him to play with his poo when I am not around, so I have to make extra trip back home to ensure I clean up his poo on time. Just wish he will fall back to his routine timing again like how he used to. It was soooo perfect.....

Sounds like typical Yorkie behavior. In my limited experience, I don't know a Yorkie that hasn't had to be hand fed at one time or another. Little fuss-pots

Ahh....I see. So it's common? Nothing to worry about I guess. I get a bit jumpy coz this is my first pet dog I ever had. So many stuff I'm not aware and I am so new to all this.
