Connie, were they able to locate the exact area by deep palpation? Any signs that she can't stand would be an emergency (to go in and remove the pressure on the nerve(s). If it's really far back, risk of paralysis is very slim. |
Connie, you, Faith and hubbie continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Wish I could be near enough to take turns holding her! Hugs Jackie |
Connie, I'm so very sorry Faith in hurt. I hope it's just a bruise and she will soon be well. I'll keep her in my thoughts. |
Sending positive thoughts to Faith for quick healing and recovery. Thinking of you. :) |
Poor baby! Prayers that she gets better soon! |
1 Attachment(s) I do think Faith is doing a little better tonight. She still has quite a limp when she walks, but she seems to be more like herself tonight. She still sleeps a lot, but that is good for healing. I took a picture of her and isn't she precious! How I love that little lady! Thank you so much for your prayers and concern! I appreciate you so much! |
I'm just seeing this thread about Faith and your dh. I will say prayers for both of them. I know your heart must be heavy right now with worry. I hope Faith will get well soon. Were x-rays taken? She is so precious, Connie. No matter how careful and over-protective we are, things can still happen. You are a good mommy so I know she is in good hands. :) I hope your dh comes through his surgeries OK and will be back on his feet in no time. |

She is adorable, prayers and light go out for continued healing for Faith. Was wondering if you could get a front knapsack to carry faith in with you? Ask your vet about that. Their back is into yours and their feet stick forward. |
I love that pic - such a pretty girl! Glad to hear she is doing some better! Will continue to keep her, dh and you in my prayers! |
Faith is a little doll! How does she feel this morning? |
Faith is so precious. I hope she is feeling much bette today. |
Connie I am so sorry that your baby is hurt. My little poodle hurt his back jumping off of the bed when he was 5yrs old,it was in the middle of his back. He got to were he would sit and stare at me when his back hurt. I would apply heat and give him his pain meds. This routine worked for many years and gave him relief very quickly. Getting him relief before the pain and swelling could build were the key to a quick recovery. The times that I just didn't understand what he was trying to tell me it took a little longer. I hope that your baby will be back to herself quickly. |
I really don't notice any improvement today from yesterday. She seemed a little more like herself this morn, but has slept most of the day and when I set her down, she just stands there and then sits down. I suppose it could be the meds making her tired and blah. I did warm up a wheat bag today and put that on her back for a while. I will do that off and on throughout the day. I keep telling her she is going to feel better. Poor baby. |
Connie, I'm so sorry to hear about little Faith. I don't know if this would help but when Dakotas back end went limp they gave us metacam it's an inflammatory. It worked really well. Maybe it would be something that would help Faith. Keeping her and you in our prayers. |
