YT Addict | Hope everything is ok. I just put my Abby on antibiotics for the same thing. I hope I don't have any more problems. |

| Ask about getting a test done for clostridium overgrowth. This is a fecal test, but not something that is commonly done at a local vet. (We had Snickers tested at UT and they have to send it away. Takes about a week to get back). It took awhile for us to get the correct diagnosis, because it was not something that is normally tested for at the local vet and we had to go to a specialist to get some answers. He always tested negative to everything tested for in a regular fecal test. Snickers has had similar symptoms like you are describing and tested positive for clostridium overgrowth producing endotoxin A. Clostridium is a normal bacteria in both dogs and humans, but it can produce spores and excess toxins. We are currently treating with tylosin. Probiotics were also prescribed for Snickers. He's been on antibiotics for 10 months (still tested positive after 6-months of treatment ) and will be re-tested again next month. Here is some info. for you: Clostridium Perfringens
