| Update on Hershey Hi everyone! Many of you were very supportive when I was going through a difficult time with Hershey. My original post was on the general forum but I figured I would update here because it's about sickness. Since being on the medication, Hershey is breathing much better. He only honks when he is excited. He has been sleeping through the night and I even have to check to see if he is laying with us---that's how quiet he is. I think I'm going to hold off on the surgery for a while because he is responding so well to the meds. He is taking theophylline, tussigon and he just finished an antibiotic (just in case he had an undetected infection). I'm still having trouble keeping him calm. Since he is breathing better he wants to play more. I am very happy about this but I also don't want to make his breathing worse by running. All in all I am very excited that Hershey is responding to the meds and I hope he continues this way. I feel like I have my dog back. Thank you for your prayers and advice. |
