Pixie just breaks my heart in that picture knowing what she has been through. But I look again and see a little fighter, a survivor, see she is home in her bed, probably as comfortable as the pain meds will allow, taking other appropriate meds to help her heal, loved completely, cared for by a wonderful vet and a caring, responsible, loving mommie and being prayed for and wished well by a long list of people. The picture is looking up for Pixie. I'm so glad she is home.

She got discharged this morning, both doctors at the hospital felt she was doing well enough. Her vitals are all stable and they re-did the ultrasound and there is still no new bleeding. I live like 5 minutes from my vet so if there is an emergency I am close.

I have set up a pen for her in the living room and one in our bedroom, I do not want to leave her downstairs alone at night.

She is still seeming out of it, but that could be the pain meds. I have never seen her this quiet before.

Thanks again everyone, I feel better that she is at home. She will be more comfortable here I think.

I'm so happy she is home with mommie. I think it's understandable that she is so quiet. Besides the pain meds, she has been through a traumatic ordeal and I imagine she is still disoriented and uncomfortable. Give her lots of kisses from all of us. She's precious, but looks so pitiful.

I am just reading what happened to Pixie and it rips at my heart. Your poor baby! And you! I am just glad to hear that she is home and recovering. I hope she recovers quickly too.

The silver linings in all this is Pixie wasn't killed and the person who hit her sounds like a truly caring and decent person who wants to do the right thing. I am betting she has learned a lesson concerning cell phone use and driving.

We had a really good night last night. She slept thru from 9 until 5 with only one breif time awake.

She is still very quiet, but she did eat a little for me this morning!!!

Oh, good! She's trying to eat so mommie won't worry about her so much. I hope her appetite picks up. I'm glad she slept well. She'll do better at home.
