Seizures happen when the signals in the brain misfire. When my DD has a seizure, I make contact with her, talk to her about recent home events, hold her hand, rub her arms and legs, sometimes I put a cold compress on her forehead or the back of her neck. She has seizures about twice a month, from 2 or more a week. So we're good with that. I remember reading about the ice cream.. will check it out further.

It has not completely stopped them but the intensity and frequencies has lessened. We have tried other medications over the years but found for him this worked the best. I hold him and comfort him during the seizures. It is just a part of him, Tico has epilepsy. We can't know for sure what they feel during the seizure. Tico has enjoyed his life. He loves playing walks and otherwise being a feisty Yorkie. I just wanted to encourage you that even if your Teddy has more seizures he can still live a long and happy life. :)
