| Scabies is possible. The dog kind aren't going to survive particularly well on people though. Pup to the vet and you and your husband to the doctor... They can check your pup by doing a skin scraping... Why do you think this though?

| So, you and your husband are itchy now too along with Rock Star? I'd go to the doctor like yesterday and have an exterminator check your house. I know Rock Star has been to the vet many times for his itching, but they missed something.

| Mites (Sarcoptic mange, Scabies in people) are very often missed on skin scrapings. That is why I posted to use Revolution on the pup on one of your other threads. Apply it once, then again in 2-3 weeks (sooner than you would for HW treatment...directions for tx mites is in the fine print leaflet in the box)) The doctor can prescribe a cream for you and hubby, one time use and gone! No treatment for the house is neccessary, mites stay on people and pets. (Been there, done that) Good Luck!

| Scabies on people usually present in dark, moist areas as small, red bumps (but can occur all over). Like in the area of a waistband, or anywhere similar. The bumps will also travel across the skin about one -two inches per day. Mine used to itch worse at 4 PM EST... don't know why. Possible to clear them on the dog, and you or DH give them back to the dog... etc. JMHO: Coconut oil may help to sooth the itchiness (or could be a cure). It's also antibacterial, antifungal, pesticidal, antiviral to name a few of it's properties. The oil soaks into the skin quickly, and you can add it to his food (1/4 tsp per meal). I even use it on teeth, theirs and mine and it helped to relieve toothache pain. Also very good for chronic ear problems, including ear mites. I hope too that you're feeling/doing better...
