OMG! That pup is too cute! What a sweetheart of a face! My new rule: No tablefood. Period! I may occasionally cook something specifically for the pups as a treat, but no more of what I eat. That crap (zylitol) needs to be taken off the market. It's insane that such a small amount of it, esp after cooking, would do this kind of harm. It is actually an ingredient in some doggy toothpastes... was told such a small amount won't hurt, yeah right... going to read more labels now. |

Everyone please read this: Xylitol Toxic to Dogs |
Checking back in Shelli, oh honey...my heart goes out to you and your sweet girls. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers. Glad to hear there appears to be some improvement. |
....still praying |
Here's a scary article I found last night - one of several. Frightening stuff! snopes.com: Xylitol Deadly to Dogs |
What a nightmare. Prayers for all of you. |

Was so hopeing we would have good news about little Cassie. I could not even sleep last night from thinking about these little babies. I am sooooo glad Muffin is doing better but we just need to keep praying and believing they are going to pull through this. Little Cassie is so tiny. I hope and pray with everything that baby will pull through. I feel alittle better about Muffin but am still concerned. I am so sorry about this happening to you. I know you must be a basket case. Makes me afraid of anything sugar free now. I have so much sugar free stuff in the house because my husband and I both are diabetics. I am going to keep a close watch on anything sugar free that my babies won't get into it. Please let us know as soon as you can about those little darlings. Sorry to hear about your dad too. It seems when it rains it pours. |

Oh my gosh. Just read the article on Xylitol. I have used the dental cleaner you put in their water. THat makes me sick. How could Foster & Smith sell such crap and be vets? Makes you afraid of everything. Oh, that is upsetting to say the least. You can't trust nothing anymore. Going to check their toothpaste and everything else they have. I want to throw up. |

If it's such a small amount, I don't think any pets would miss it, ya know? |
I went through everything on my shelves, threw away all of the gum in the house, and warned my daughter (an avid gum chewer) to keep her gum in her purse, zipped up, on her dresser. I also warned the family and got a list of things containing xylitol and told them NEVER to give the dogs even so much as a jelly bean or gummy bear. NADA!! Shellie, I am continuing prayers for your babies...have faith, have hope, you got a large crew here lifting you guys up. Keep us posted as you can, I keep checking I have been so worried. |
Sending prayers for Muffin and Cassie. |
Keeping them both in my prayers. |
