| I only do Rabies shots now....I mean Teddi got all the shots before but since she was 3 years old we have only done Rabies (because it's required). I won't do any other shots anymore.

| Everyone, I SO appreciate all of these replies. I have already decided that I will be much more diligent when having Piper vaccinated. I have worked in the medical field for 33 yrs and I believe in vaccines for humans. However, Piper is a 7 lb dog with liver problems so now I won't give her anything unless absolutely necessary. Ronlynn, I was considering asking Piper's surgeon to consult with Dr. Tobias if she has continuing problems. I hope he would be open to that. As of now, Piper is acting like a totally normal dog. No more neuro episodes, good energy and appetite. I still have to follow up on the urine and blood bilirubin in 2 weeks. As you can tell our little dog means a lot to our family--she's really our 3rd child! Thanks for everyone's advice. Will keep you posted. Pipermom! Last edited by pipermom; 04-23-2011 at 08:28 AM. |
