YT Addict | Link Hi ~ I am so sorry you are going through this. I have never had this experience but here are two links I found. I does seem as though the oral meds would kick this infection sooner but as I said I have no experience.

| If you have other pets please keep this one contained. Ringworm is very contagious to humans as well. You will have to clean and vacuum the entire house. Good luck...I hope you get things under control quickly.

| I'd recommend going ahead buying an athletes foot treatment, like Lotrimin, for yourself! It is so contagious, I got it from a kitten I adopted by the time I suspected he had it. Not only that, but every other pet I had got it as well. All eight of my dogs, a foster dog, and four cats. The fun just went on and on. I finally resorted to sulpher lyme dips. They reeked, but worked. Still, it took several weeks of dips. However, for just one dog, I wouldn't recommend the dips, I'd stick to an ointment or cream. I am sorry you are having to suffer through this. Also, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning your environment is very important!

| I went through this when one of my dogs was 5 months old. She didn't have a normal circular shape so I had to go see a dog dermatologist and then she diagnosed ringworm. In the meantime, Brooke had been sleeping in my bed with me and my other dogs. So I got a patch on my back and both my chihuahuas got spots on them too. Brooke had to be on an oral medicine and the sulfur dip and the other dogs had the sulphur dips. I had to use a cream. You have to clean obsessively and hope that it doesn't just keep coming back. Good Luck. I wouldn't do anything without asking your vet, especially if your baby is still a small puppy, some of the cures are pretty strong!!
