Oh, I am so sorry that Peyton has to have surgery but it sounds like he is in the very excellent care of a trained orthopedist who will know just what to do. I would think the younger he is the better he will accomodate to the surgery and do well as they are bypassing his growth plate entirely. My boss does tyis type surgery on certain children and they do far better than adults having it and I wonder if the same isn't true for any young warm-blooded species. If he had to have orthopedic surgery at all in his life, this is probably the best age to have it. As far as puppyhood, he, being a Yorkie, will probably be a puppy at heart until he is quite old and take all of this in his stride. I'm so glad you took him to the best place possible for care. My prayers are with Peyton and you. |

Oh Sweetie!!!! I'm so sorry this has transpired!!!!! It will all be fine, and soon it will all be over and Peyton will have forgotten it all and all will be normal!!! I know how hard this is!!! I'm here if you need to talk about it!!!! Prayers for a speedy and successful surgery and recovery! Love ya! Viv |
I don't know how I missed all of this happening. Bitsy, I will be keeping dear Peyton in my prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery. Let us know when you are able tomorrow how he is doing. Hugs, Dyan |
Thinking of you and Peyton this morning. |
It was an accident - try not to beat yourself up. We've all had accidents with our kiddos, and it's so scary...and I think we feel worse than they do. Your baby will be okay! Keep us posted and know we're thinking of you. Hugs to you and Peyton. |
Out of surgery! Just heard from the student....she said surgery went well. He was just starting to wake up. Praise the Lord! |

Hi.. just reading this.. well most of your thread. I am glad it seams peyton is doing well. I am so sorry you had to go through all this.. and my thought and prayers are with you. Shinja |
I have to share this...I was really upset this morning worrying about my baby boy. I was crying harder than I've cried in a long time and praying and praying. I was crying for the first Peyton as well. I was just so afraid that Peyton was not going to make it through surgery. In short, I felt like I was having a mini breakdown! Not really, but almost. I had to force myself to calm down. I prayed to God and told him I needed to hand this over to Him, that I alone could not handle it. I prayed that God would comfort me with His word and I purposefully opened my Bible to a random page. It was in Jeremiah and I was immediately drawn to some verses that I had highlighted a long time ago: Jeremiah 31:34b "...because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the Lord. Jeremiah 32:17 Ah sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:27 I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Wow. I was so comforted by His words. I really feel He was speaking to me. Just had to share what our loving God is capable of when we hand our hearts over to Him. ***Not trying to make anyone feel uncomfortable who doesn't share my beliefs. This is directly related to the situation.*** |
So happy to hear that surgery went well. Sending prayers for speedy recovery. |
Bitsy, I am so happy that Peyton's surgery went well and that he is waking up. Sending prayers that he can come home to you soon. |
So happy that the surgery went well. :) |
In times of stress, I too open the Bible to a random page and let my eyes fall where God directs me and it really works for those who believe. I'm so happy for you that Peyton is beginning his recovery, you are a good mommy and I know you will do everything possible to speed it along. Also glad you had a good experience with Purdue. I think I am going to take Chloe there for her LP surgery when that time comes. |
I am so relieved that Peyton came through the surgery well! I'm praying for a complete recovery and a quick one! I'm so glad you were comforted by our dear Lord in your time of need! Bless your heart! I'll be watching for further updates! So glad the surgery is behind you and soon, the recovery will be too! *HUG* |
Bitsy, I am so glad Peyton is doing well after the surgery. They sound so loving @ Purdue and I think that's wonderful as well! I'm glad you have your faith to help you through this, He is always there! Sending hugs! ~~Christina~~ |

I just love Eva's poem. Glad to hear Peyton's doing well. |
I knew you'd be having a hard time with this. It's sort of reopening of old wounds. I'm thrilled Peyton came through and is recovering now. You handed your burden to the right person today! Eva's little book of poetry is precious and definitely a keeper.:) |
