| Sadie after LP surgery: Day 1 Sadie had LP surgery on both back knees on Tuesday. We were able to pick her up from the surgery center yesterday around lunch. She is so sad, scared and uncomfortable. Right now she only wants us to hold her. She is having a hard time lying down in her crate she just stands very still or just sits for a few seconds then stands again on all fours. Hubby stayed up with her last night and I will be going home at lunch for a potty break since he has a job interview this afternoon. Please send prayers our way as we navigate through this journey. We know this is what's best for her but its hard to see her in so much pain. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Aww poor baby. It took Pixie a few days before she wanted to move around much and she only had one leg done. It is amazing how quickly they recover. Is she on pain medicine? I am glad the surgery is over and she is home recovering. When they did Pixie's leg they only shaved her leg and left all the hair on her rear and back. The surgeon said her tech's weren't happy when she asked them to do a comb over. lol

| My 3 year old, Denzil, had surgery for bi-lateral PL at nine months old. He stayed in vetinary hospital for a week and looked a pitiful sight. He would try and climb into our arms when we visited and cried when we left, which was awful. But, when we picked him up the following week he was like a different dog, and actually ran down the garden when he got home. Now you would never know he had such major surgery and is in 100% good health. I wish your little doggie well and look foward to hearing about how well she is doing. All the best, Tracy and Denzil. |

| Hopefully she is on pain medication. I would use that for a few days for sure! You will be surprised at how quickly she will recover. Will keep Sadie and you and your hubby in my thoughts and prayers.

| Poor Baby- I went through LP surgery with a toy poodle a number of years ago. The first week is the hardest. Just make sure to do all the physical therapy after, if you can find a place that does water therapy that is great. Good Vibes coming your way.

| Awww, bless her little heart. She's a trooper and soon she will be all better. I held Hot Rod most of the time after his surgery, so I can appreciate how you, hubby and Sadiemae are feeling and what you all are going thru. All our best for a speedy recovery. Hugs.

| Thanks Everyone! We actually got some sleep last night. When I called my husband at lunch today to check in he said she had pooped (getting worried b/c she didn't yesterday so, Yay!), had her meds and was taking nap. Woo Hoo! It's amazing the little things that make you excited |

She has a very thick cottony coat that loves to get all matted and she hates being brushed on a normal day so I can just forget it right now! At least we have cute clothes! | |

| Aaahhh Poor Sadie. Buster went thru LP surgery on 1 leg in October. He is doing great now. The other leg has LP but the surgeon said to wait until it was causing him problems. Poor baby with both legs. Buster was feeling himself pretty soon after then we had to make sure to keep him restricted until he healed. Now that was a challenge. LOL She probably did not poop as her feeding had been restricted prior to surgery and the medications. Buster's leg was shaved and his back for the epidural. He hair is now blending back in as I had my groomer cut him shorter before surgery to make the difference less noticeable. Thank goodness it was not to cold here. Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery. Good luck to your husband in job hunting too.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so glad Sadie is resting and you will be amazed at how much better she will be in a couple of days. Pixie has a thinner silky coat so I think it was easier to just lift the long top hair off and shave underneath. It grows back quickly and you're right about not wanting to be brushed for awhile.
