so upset, found a BY breeder on YT So upset I found a breeder on this forum and because I found her here I thought she was trust worthy, I bought a puppy from her she said he would probably be 3 pounds at adult hood and he was tiny when I met him. I brought him home and he had diarrhea so I called her and said that maybe it was the food because royal canine is known for that, so I changed it to bil-jack cause that's what I've fed before and then he got sad, so today he started shaking and acting as if he wanted to throw up and he did it was a dark brown smear and has mucus coming out with his stool, and he looks weak he can't even stand andof course she's not returning my phone calls. She had told me she was on this web site trying to find a female fto breed. I could I have let this happen? |
I am very sorry your pup is sick. Have you taken him to your vet? |
Not until the morning if he makes it thru the night... |

I am so terribly sorry that you are going through this. Bringing home a new puppy is suppose to be a joyous time. Please keep us posted on how your baby is doing. Prayers going up for both of you as you get through this. You probably need to PM the Admin and give her the breeders information. Maybe they can help too. |
R U in Lakewood NJ? I am in NJ. You have an emergencey vet right on route 70. If I can help you in anyway please let me know. I can meet you there if you'd like. Elaine |

Also , in my opinion you need to tell who the breeder is. |
I am so sorry you were sold a sick puppy. Like Maximo said you can not wait until morning. Find the nearest vet or er that can get him in tonight. These sick little ones go down fast. His life could depend on getting him in now. |

So puppy is vomiting and has diarrhea? Tiny pups can be dehydrated very quickly and it can be fatal. He could also have an hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) episode which can result in death also. You need to take him to an emergency vet now. If you have any nytrical...I'd give him some of that also. I'm gonna be brutally honest here...if you don't take him and he passes away during the night...it will be your fault, not the breeder. |

I'm so sorry that your puppy is so sick. Please try to get to an ER vet. Saying prayers for you and your pup. |

This puppy needs to get to the Vet / ER Vet ASAP. PLEASE take this baby in immediately. Puppies can die when these symptoms appear. Never mind about the breeder at this moment, focus only on this puppy's life. |

Please get him into the vet asap. |
I really hope you can get him help tonight! I can't imagine how awful he must be feeling. :( Please keep us posted. |
I hope the puppy gets immediate medical care. Please let us know how he's doing. |
I agree. The puppy definitely needs to get to a vet. The sooner, the better. Please go to the ER vet tonight. A few hours can be the difference between life and death. |
The OP is no longer on line. I PRAY they are on their way to the ER. |

I'm hoping that the OPer if currently at the vet and that your puppy is being seen by a vet. This is an emergency and his life depends on you. |
I don't think one should automatically call someone a BYB (in the derogatory manner in which the name has become) just because their puppy got sick. My experience with Royal Canin is just the opposite and that's why, in part, I like it: Nice firm stools - easy to dispose of. I've heard that from others as well, so that's where I'd red flag the breeder as someone less than honorable trying to pass off the food as the cause. However, until the cause is known it shouldn't automatically be assumed its the fault of the breeder. We just got a new pup yesterday and she threw up three times on the trip home (1.5 hour car trip)...she was car sick, nothing more. She's fit as a fiddle right now. Hopefully, her pup will be okay, but I agree with the others when they're so little these things happen. She didn't say how old the dog was, if it's a 12 or week old puppy, three pounds isn't that small. |
Please come back & update when you return from the vet . |
Poor baby.. I hope that little pup made it to the vet.. :( |
Three pounds is very small regardless of the animal's age. Vomiting and diarrhea in a dog that size is a medical emergency as they rapidly become dehydrated. |
