I wanted to talk to them about using the Uro-Eze as you have. But since they were already clueless as to what they were talking about, I didnt even want to bring that into the conversation.

I was thinking about going on Royal Canin Urine Control Formula for now. not the best food but better than science diet. I've known a few dogs that have used Royal Canin and have liked it.

I will contact a new vet right away to talk this over.

i am curious about the uro-eze , as my vet said i would be able to use it on his raw food and i would not have to vchange diets, then he changed his mind and said royal canin so. what exactly is uro-eze ?

Uroeze is a medication that helps maintain normal pH in a dog's bladder. It is ammonium choloride which makes the bladder more acidic so that struvite crystals can't form.

I've used this succesfully for Teddy, however, after we stopped usage of the product the struvites returned so he is back on it. I am guessing he will be on it for life, but am waiting for the vet nutritionist to make that determination.

RC might be better for your particular dog; for ours, Uroeze is and not too many vets now about it so I always tell people to ask since it is cheap and easy to use.

Winnie's new urinalysis from the new vet came out clear. pH was 5 with no crystals. Last vet tried screwing me over. All is good now.
