| Sudden unexpected death...devestated!!! My sweetest buddy of eleven years died suddenly a few days ago. We found him laying peacefully in his favorite sleeping spot. No apparent signs of trauma or distress. No foreign objects around. His stool looked healthy. He had been developing lumps all over, vet said probably just lypomas. He was chipper, as usual, days before and even the night before. What do you suspect happened??? Did I miss anything??? Is this a typical scenario??? What to do??? Agony agony AGONY!!! |

| I am so sorry for your loss, I don't think you did anything wrong or missed anything, sounds to me like it was just his time to go. But at least he went peacefully and didn't have to suffer. Again so sorry for your loss, i will keep you and yours in my prayers.

| I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm going to echo the other sentiments that at least he was able to go seemingly peacefully, with no pain. That's the kind of passing we should all hope for. Not that it makes your loss any less. It hurts to lose a member of the family no matter what.

| I am so sorry for your heartaching loss. However, like others have said, at least he went at home, in his own bed, with loving family around him and it seems like with little or no pain. What else could any of us ask? You did all you could and I can tell that he was much loved. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. They are like us -- sometimes they just pass suddenly -- usually heart related when that happens. So very hard to take when there is nowarning and no answer. Hopefully memories of how loved he was and how much fun you all had together will comfort you as the pain eases some.

| I am so sorry for your loss. At his age, it sounds like he just died in his sleep. How fortunate that he didn't suffer or that you didn't have to make that difficult decision to euthanize him. My Lady is 15 and that is what I hope for her. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. You must take comfort in knowing your little guy didn't suffer. That is what any of us can hope for when we have to let them go. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I know you must be feelings all sorts of hurt and sadness. Losing a baby at any age is so so difficult. I know this probably does not bring much comfort, but at least he did not suffer and it seems that he died peacefully. Please accept my deepest sympathy during this time of loss -- you are in my prayers. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. My doberman Josie, was 13 1/2 years old when she died. She was the most loveable, hyper sweet dog I had ever met. She was like a puppy all of her life, up until the night before she died. One day I came home and called her. She didn't greet meet like usual. When I saw her she was almost gone, and I knew it was her time. I feel very lucky to have had her healthy all of those years, but as with every pet, their death will almost always come before ours. Be comforted that you have given him such a long and happy existence. I'm sure Buddy was ready to go and he would have been so much more peaceful going in his own home. |
