| Proin and male dogs I posted recently about Brady and his leaking at night. I have had him on proin for 5 days and don't see a big change. Does anyone have any experiences with this? Maybe I should give more time. I think the vet want to check for bladder stones? I thought bladder stones would make it hard to urinate..... I got him at 15 months and not sure what his home life was like. I do know he was suppose to be a breeding dog and his testicle never dropped. She neuteresd him before I purchased him. Any advise would be appreciated. Any idea on cost of an xray would be? Thanks!

| Xray will run around $80 - $120 or so. I think you're right... may need more time... ask for vet. Sometimes with stones or a UTI small amounts of urine will come on and off instead of a good stream when he urinates, but I would think that would effect him the same way during the day too. How long have you had him? And how long ago was his surgery?

| His surgery was in May 2010, it was done by the breeders vet. He was intended to be a breeding dog through another breeder. I bought him because his testicle didn't drop for a pet. The vet wants to rule out anything congential because of the retained testicle. When he leaks at night its alot he is soaking wet with urine. It is almost like he sleeps so sound.... because of the amount of urine. I will give the proin more time, but I am worried. She also wants to do blood work to check kidney functions. I see you have several yorkies. They are so cute.

| Does he have accidents during the day? Do you walk him and witness him urinating? ETA: Thanks for the compliment!

| I would just try to get him to urinate as much as possible before bedtime to try to minimize the end result until your vet figures out what his problem is... sorry I couldn't be more help.
