| UPDATE: October's Hernia Surgery Hello everyone! I am sorry to be posting this so late, but October ended up having to stay kind of late at the vet until this evening. The GREAT news is she is doing really wonderful and resting here at home! Well, I say resting -- but she is really trying to bark and growl at my other babies like she did before surgery. I am trying to keep her relaxed and still as much as possible so she doesn't stress her belly. She thinks she's the boss of these Chihuahuas around here! LOL! Before they fixed her hernia, they completed her dental cleaning while she was asleep so she wouldn't have to go back later and be sedated again. She had to have three of her little bottom teeth pulled, and one root extracted -- so I think her mouth is pretty sore. But, she did eat a little bit (I was careful not to let her overdo it) and she's been drinking well also. I am so thankful she is doing so good and I am so thankful for all of you who prayed for me and October! Your prayers mean so much, and I cannot begin to say thank you enough. October is such a precious baby and we love her so much, and I'm so glad to have this surgery behind us. Now she's on the road to recovery and I'm hoping she recovers quickly and with no issues. Once she's healed up enough, we will have their Christmas pictures taken! I'm very excited about that -- October and my other three babies (Chihuahuas) will be reindeer this year for their photo!!! Again, thank you so much for your prayers and your concern! |

| How nice that it is over with and you can relax. It's good they did her teeth, but I'm sorry she lost some. That's too bad. I imagine you will sleep better tonight.

| I am so happy for you that the big day is over and everything went well! Dental work can be painful. When Maximo was neutered, he suffered more pain from the baby teeth extractions. It went away quickly. Merry Christmas to you and your little reindeer! (I would love to add a Chihuahua to my family ) |

I would highly recommend adding a Chihuahua to your family! They are certainly different than Yorkies, but they are fantastic! They each have their own little personality. Thank you so much for your kindness during October's surgery. You and the other YT members really helped me through it all! So thank you and Merry Christmas to you too!!!

October (and my other babies') old vet is actually pretty questionable. I am just glad we found a great vet and a great doctor. Live and learn I guess. Thanks again!
