Does this look normal? London got her belly hernia removed and there has been increased bruising and redness around the stitches. Looks painful to me! Also would A&D or putting something on it help? Thanks..

Bruising to the skin can occur during a surgery then show up a day or two later. Best to call your vet as he knows what to expect. and no, never put anything on stitches. Hope she feels better soon!

It looks like it could be normal bruising from the surgery, BUT, I would check with the vet to be sure!
Don't put anything on it unless directed to by your vet!
Let us know what the vet says!

Poor London, I hope she is feeling better soon.

I agree with the others and I would contact the vet just to be on the safe side.

Thanks guys! Her bruising has gone down a bit and looks to be healing a little better. Will ask the vet on Thursday though
