| How do you keep a Yorkie from running? Well, we did it: Dinky is 10 months old. We had him nuetered. He was after his toys and his little girl playmate down the street. He was wanting to go after great big dogs... he had a close call with a Rottweiller... and he had two sets of double teeth. Yesterday was the day.We picked up our very loopy guy, and he is doing fine. We just carried him around all evening. He has eaten, slept well... woke me up at 11 pm and 3 pm and 5 pm. I didn't sleep well, but he did. We gave him some pain med this morning, so he's sleeping now , but earlier he wanted to run, jump etc. So any ideas on how to keep him from running around. I.m thinking I need to put him on a leash! He did not want to be held.He wanted to play, play, play! |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Rhett was the same way after his procedure. I ended up having to put him in his crate and only letting him out to eat and potty. The only thing I can suggest is crating using an xpen for a few days.

Senior Yorkie Talker | My Rocki went through the procedures on Thursday. Today, Saturday, I see a big difference in him. He was to run and appears much more active. Guess he's feeling better. I am just monitoring him and stopping any wrestle/play with my Shih Tzu. |

| That's what I did too. If it was up to Kaji, he'd be up and down and running everywhere. If the expen made him upset, I would take him out for a bit and just carry him around. All day every day penned up was a bit much for him.

| We had such the same issue with our little guy. I kept looking at the vet and saying "No running or jumping?" "Have you met the dog?" We did the Xpen and carrying around a lot! Then had to use the coffee table against the couch, flip the ottomans up to block the chairs, and a chest to block the stairs. We nearly killed ourselves trying to step over and get to places to sit, but he was ok. Finally I just spent the week on the floor to watch tv. He didn't mind at all then! The house looked like a disaster for a while, but anything to keep'em ok!
