We had such the same issue with our little guy. I kept looking at the vet and saying "No running or jumping?" "Have you met the dog?"

We did the Xpen and carrying around a lot! Then had to use the coffee table against the couch, flip the ottomans up to block the chairs, and a chest to block the stairs. We nearly killed ourselves trying to step over and get to places to sit, but he was ok. Finally I just spent the week on the floor to watch tv. He didn't mind at all then!

The house looked like a disaster for a while, but anything to keep'em ok!
